Lightyears Solar welcomes Brody Nelson to their board

A leading figure in the digital business and innovation sector, Brody Nelson, is the newest board member at Lightyears Solar.

Brody is a successful technical founder, co-founding Daylight (formerly Translate Digital), a mobile-first digital production company, Stickybeak, a company in the market research space, and in 2015, the award-winning app Parkable. “Brody’s success in starting and growing his own businesses will be a huge asset to the Lightyears Solar board, as we seek to do the same and make an impact in New Zealand’s renewable energy sector,” says Matt Shanks, Lightyears Solar’s co-founder and development manager.

“We have some exciting projects underway, including project construction of our own solar farm assets and continue to take on investment. Managing the next stage of our growth is vital and we’re expanding our board to have the best advice in this space.”

““I’m inspired by companies looking for better ways to do things and I’m excited to be able to offer support and guidance to Lightyears Solar as a board member,” says Brody.

“The renewable energy sector is a true growth industry, and Lightyears Solar has significant potential to be a key player, and offer something unique to the market. Managing their growth is the key to this and I’m looking forward to bringing some of my experience to the table to help them reach their potential.”
