PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our solar project in Walton is a utility-scale solar farm of approximately 4.5 MW, connected to Powerco’s Matamata network. The project will produce clean electrical energy into the local network.
The project will contribute to New Zealand’s goal to become carbon neutral. While some energy will make its way back to the national grid, we expect much of the electricity to be consumed within the local distribution area and within the Matamata township, improving the renewable proportion of the local power supply.
Consenting is underway for the project.
